Columbus made an announcement today that they have trimmed their training camp roster by five players. The updated roster now consists of 25 forwards, 13 defensemen, and four goaltenders.

Stanislav Svozil - Loaned to the Cleveland Monsters
Jake Gaudet - Returned to Cleveland (AHL Contract)
Stefan Matteau - Returned to Cleveland (AHL Contract)
Justin Pearson - Returned to Cleveland (AHL Contract)
Zach Sawchenko - Put on waivers for the purposes of reporting to Cleveland.

The Blue Jackets play tonight and tomorrow. The assumption was that they would get one more game at least, but the rosters had seemingly already been separated a few days ago, making these moves predictable.
