Delhi Premier League T20: Ishant Sharma and Rishabh Pant Ready for Opening DPL Match Against South Delhi Superstarz

New Delhi: The inaugural season of the Delhi Premier League is set to begin with a bang as Purani Dilli 6 prepares to dazzle fans with its star-studded roster. The highly anticipated league will kick off this Saturday at the iconic Shri Arun Jaitley Stadium, with Purani Dilli 6 facing off against the formidable South Delhi Superstarz in the opening match. Get ready for a thrilling start to what promises to be an exciting season of cricket in the capital city.

It will all start on August 17 with the opening game at 8:30 PM, immediately followed by a cricketing extravaganza of 40 matches. Other games will be played on succeeding days at 2:00 PM and 7:00 PM.

Dynamic Rishabh Pant and seasoned fast bowler Ishant Sharma have Purani Dilli 6 bank on building a powerful team to dominate in the league. They also roped in all-rounder Lalit Yadav and batting all-rounder Shivam Sharma with new talents like the 20-year-old opener and off-spinner Arpit Rana and Prince Yadav, a right-arm pacer.

Owner Mr. Akash Nangia expressed his enthusiasm for the league’s debut, stating, “We are thrilled to kick off the DPL with such an exciting lineup. The Delhi Premier League is going to host 40 matches—33 men’s and 7 women’s—all at the beautiful Shri Arun Jaitley Stadium. From 17th August to 8th September 2024, this championship is sure to bring thrills in terms of cricketing action and unleash fresh talent from the region.
