New Delhi: Indian captain Rohit Sharma's witty sense of humor was on full display during the first Test against New Zealand. The viral moment came when Rohit was left surprised by Virat Kohli's dismissal on the third day. Adding to the drama, the umpires then promptly declared the end of the day's play, leaving Rohit in disbelief.
New Zealand batters performed well on the third day and scored 402 runs. Rachin Ravindra scored 134 runs while playing a century innings. After this, fast bowler Tim Southee played a quick innings of 65 runs in 73 balls. With this, New Zealand gained a lead of 356 runs over India on the basis of the first innings. After this, India made a solid start in the second innings. There was a partnership of 72 runs between Jaiswal and Rohit.
