Will Kolkata's weather hinder the India vs England 1st T20I?

New Delhi: India is all set to kick off their ICC Champions Trophy 2025 preparations as they face England in the 1st T20I of a five-match series at Eden Gardens, Kolkata, on Wednesday, January 22.

India last faced England in the T20 World Cup semifinal, securing a dominant win before ending their 11-year ICC trophy drought. England, under new white-ball coach Brendon McCullum, will aim for a fresh start in this T20I series.

India, the number one team in T20Is, will face England, who have refreshed their squad with the talents of Gus Atkinson and Jacob Bethell, to be ranked third. It’s going to be an exciting battle between both the teams.

Kolkata is set to witness pleasant weather on matchday, with temperatures ranging from 16°C to 28°C. Accuweather predicts no rain or thunderstorms, ensuring an uninterrupted game, with just 3% cloud cover expected.
