Erik ten Hag discusses the absence of Jadon Sancho from the Man Utd squad against Brighton

Erik ten Hag has clarified the reason behind Jadon Sancho's absence from Manchester United's squad for the match against Brighton.

‘He’s here [at the stadium], but I had a choice to make,’ Ten Hag told TNT Sports before the Premier League clash.

‘We had some issues, we need a full squad. He’s one of them. He has to compete in his position.

‘Game-by-game we will have a look. We need two players in every position because it is a long season.’

“We always have to look to get better”
